check out the 'secret garden' the perfect place to relax on a summer's evening. we have an awesome range of ice cold beers and ciders (22 of them!) and we serve each with a friendly smile as standard...wether your on a big night out, popping in for lunch with a few mates or on a wind down after work; it's impossible not to feel welcome here!
- we are open: monday to thursday 12-11pm, friday & saturday 12-midnight, sunday is an early night we close at 10:30pm
- the secret garden is open until 10pm every night.
- the downstairs lounge is available all week for bookings, so if you’re planning a party, give us a call!
- hungry bellies? our food service times are monday to friday 12-3 / 5-10pm, saturday & sunday all day till 9.30pm.

well, this week has been hectic but fun, preparing for carnival!
my 1940's glammor puss Giulia is back behind the bar for carnival weekend, we are all getting our pirate costumes ready... oh arrr!
we have voted Max (the grump) to wear the parrot outfit ... so look out for him flapping his feathers on the redbull bar at the front of the pub!
Jen's decided to come as jackie sparrow! she's gonna look awesome!
Patrick is like a kid at christmas- he can't wait to get his sword out for the girls!!!
.. and as for my costume... its a secret, but i can tell you it comes with fish nets and a wink!

the after work social. kicks off the champion weekender.. perfect place to meet your mates, we play cool funk & classics to ease you into the weekend.
Saturday
the session tu jour: big night out planned? why not book our lounge with your mates and make it a night to remember.. it the summer.. if the sun is shining our pints will be sparking!
Sunday
the priory: relax and recover with our awesome sunday roast! the perfect hangover cure! choose from beef or lamb- all served with crispy roasties, yorkshire pub, veg and gravy.
... If you're not a meat fan we have a lovely roasted veg & chipotle pesto pie for you!

join us for a pirate and rum themed weekender!
we'll be cookin you up bbq grub and massive thanks to the guys at sailor jerry we will be swiggin on the rum...
as we become 'champion of the seas!'
our opening times are: sunday 11.30am till 10.30pm. monday 11am till 11pm
bbq food is served 1pm till 8pm on both days.
we have loads of sailor jerry and corona give-a-ways including cd's and t-shirts!

The Champion Jam
this little sweetie is our open mic night. running every other monday night. Since November 2005 it has hosted over 600 performers. displaying musical skills of new and local talent. If you’re a performer and want to get noticed, or if you just love great music.. come to the jam!

straw hats and chewin' hay! come try out our massive range of summer ciders.. we got 12 in total including a guest appearance by the very loved 'old rosie' shes a scrumpy with a right kick!
draught bulmers over ice and all sorts of fruity ciders will have you whistling like a bumpkin!

Portobello Market - World famous market to browse for just about anything! 10 minutes walking distance towards Notting Hill tube from us. Don't worry we will happily give you directions.
Kennsington Gardens/Hyde Park - Beautiful all year round and great for chillin, skating, riding, walking or just lying in the sun ( if it's shinning!) Just opposite us and we are perfect for an after park beverage (or before).
