So it's taken a while but winter seems to finally have arrived....and we can think of a few reasons to love it...
The Champion is the perfect spot to chill out and warm up after a bracing walk round Hyde Park or a potter round the shops and stalls down Portobello. Along with our usual range of unusual (and truly amazing) beers, wines and ciders we'll also be serving up a few seasonal treats to keep you toasty warm; mulled wine, spiced cider, hot toddy, winter pimms. We've also got fantastic food like chips and curry sauce if you're feeling peckish.....tasty steak and ale pie if you're feeling famished....or satisfy your sweet tooth with sticky toffee pud if you're feeling naughty.
wether your on a big night out, popping in for lunch with a few mates or on a wind down after work; it's impossible not to feel welcome here!

- we are open: monday to thursday 12-11pm, friday & saturday 12-midnight, sunday is an early night we close at 10:30pm
- the secret garden is open until 10pm every night.
- the downstairs lounge is available all week for bookings, so if you’re planning a shindig, give us a call!
- hungry bellies? our food service times are monday/tuesday 12-3 / 5-10pm, wednesday to saturday all day 'til 10pm, and Sunday 'til 9pm
2 Meals and 2 Drinks for £15 available all day from Monday to Friday in January. Featuring favourite dishes like freshly beer battered haddock and chips, steak and ale pie and our handmade beef burger as well as a choice of drinks from our well stocked bar.

the champion quiz hosted by the very lovely Ben! come down have a beer and bite to eat and test your brain power! we have some awesome prizes including: money, free sunday roast's for you and your team and lots more... pens down at 8pm!

Wine-down for the weekend!!!
Start your weekend early...From 7pm every thurs night you can treat yourself to a lovely bottle of wine! all our bottles of wine usually priced between £11 and £14 are only £7.95!! and... all bottles usually priced between £14 and £20 are only £11.95!! cheers!
Friday
the after work social. kicks off the champion weekender.. perfect place to meet your mates, we play cool funk & classics to ease you into the weekend.
Saturday
the session du jour: big night out planned? why not book our lounge with your mates and make it a night to remember..
Sunday
the priory: relax and recover with our awesome sunday roast and bloody marys! the perfect hangover cure! choose from beef. pork or chicken-all served with crispy roasties, yorkshire pub, veg and gravy.
..If you're not a meat fan we have a lovely nut roast for you!

Kennsington Gardens/Hyde Park - Beautiful all year round and great for chillin, skating, riding, kicking leaves...Just opposite us and we are perfect for an after park beverage (or before).
